Abia state governor Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu has given an old woman he met at a construction site on Tuesday a peanut for an appreciation.
According to ABV TV, a state-owned television; the Abia state governor was at the construction site to inspect the progress of work at the renovation works taking place at the Infectious Diseases Hospital Aba, the state capital.
The woman a mason was at the construction site carrying blocks on her head, mixing cement, while the Abia state governor who said he was impressed by her hard work gave her a peanut as an appreciation for hard work.
The Abia state governor who said he could not leave the site without encouraging the old woman handed over some token to her and encouraged her to work harder.
Speaking in Igbo dialect, the Abia governor said to the old woman, “Jisike nnu”, which means work hard, you hear.
The woman who was happy with a gift from the governor received the money and thanked him for being kind to her.
Although the exact amount of money given to the old woman by the Abia state governor could not be immediately ascertained, however, from the size of the naira notes, it is just a token, from the governor in appreciation of the old woman hard work.
