Achuba Kogi Deputy sues Gov Bello for owing him N921.5 million allowances

The Kogi state Deputy Governor, Mr. Simon Achuba has sued Yahaya Bello, Kogi state Governor for owing him N921.5 million allowances, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) is reporting.

Achuba dragged Bello
and the state Commissioner for Justice at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria on Monday.

An action the Deputy said was to make Bello pay him allowances owed him by the state government.

Achuba in a suit NICN/ABJ/244/2019 is asking the court to compel Bello to pay him his allowances, an action he said is against the labour practice.

The Deputy governors is seeking for an order of the court for the payment of N921.5 million being his travel allowances, monthly impress, security votes and other statutory allocations due to his office as the Deputy Governor of Kogi.

The suit was filed on behalf of the Deputy Governor by Falana & Falana’s Chambers.

The Deputy Governor had on July this year accused Bello of owing him allowances, pointing out that he was last paid in 2017.
