Gunmen on Tuesday attacked Maro community in Kajuru Local Government of Kaduna state burning many houses and injuring many residents.
Mr. Nasir el-rufai Kaduna state had two weeks ago, announced that 66 Fulanis were killed at Maro, an announcement that generated many critiques with the police rejecting the figures announced by the governor.
Different sources who are community residents say the armed men that invaded the community numbered over 200.
James Ali, who said he escaped death speaking with WAR disclosed that they were heavily armed.
Other sources report that there were attacks in Kachia area of kaduna, however casualty figures from the attack is not known.
Mr. El-Rufai has since condemned the renewed attacks in Kajuru and Kachia
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, spokesperson to the Governor said, security men are on top of the situation and are doing everything possible to fish out those behind the attacks.
WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR), could not immediately reach Kaduna state police command for a comment.
