Mr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano governor on Friday, received best public service award.
The awardee, Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), presenting the award at its board meeting in Abuja said Ganduje has consistently delivered people friendly policies in Kano state.
Mr. Igho Akeregha, the organisation president said during the presentation that Ganduje deserves the award for implementing internationally stipulated MDGs and Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, in Kano state.
We have followed development in Kano state in the last two years, we have monitored projects in the state and have come to conclusion that Ganduje deserves award for a giant stride, Igho said.
Kano after our examination emerged a winner, given its size and population in key deliverables in the areas of education, health, infrastructure, justice sector reform, peace and security.
“I must however, remind Ganduje, that should there be observable lapses and drawbacks after this award, the CLO may withdraw the recognition in defence of its best tradition of trust and credibility,” Mr Akeregha added.
