Huawei devices will no longer be able to install Facebook apps Facebook announced on Friday.
Facebook says the decision is in compliance with the United States sanctions against the Chinese technology company.
Facebook has disclosed that its decision would affect major social network such as Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
Mr. Donald Trump has directed barring Huawei from US technology exports, accusing the company of working with Chinese intelligence.
“We are reviewing the Commerce Department’s final rule and the more recently issued temporary general license and taking steps to ensure compliance,” a Facebook spokesperson told AFP.
This will lead to the isolation of Huawei, which ranks second in the global smart phone vendors.
Washington had earlier raised security concern about the company.
Google had last month announced that it would isolate Huawei, which will make it more difficult to obtain major apps from google.
Google decision no doubt, would leave Huawei without Play Store, the marketplace for most Android apps, and other elements of the mobile operating system.
