Amputated injured Corps member gets automatic employment

Mr. Nurudeen Tahir, a corps member who was involved in a fatal accident and lost his arms is to get an automatic employment.

Mr. Shuaibu Ibrahim, a Brig.-Gen and NYSC  Director-General who visited Tahir on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Centre Jalingo made the promise.

The DG said the NYSC considers corps members welfare and security  top priority.

Tahir was originally deployed to Kano before he worked his posting back to Taraba and demanded he is posted to Mambilla,  Plateau state for his official assignment.

 Tahir and 18 other corps members were involved in a fatal accident on their way from Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano state to  Sardauna Local Government Area, where they were posted for their primary assignments.

The DG during his visit to the hospital, assured the families of the corps members that NYSC will take care of their hospital bills.

He also disclosed that NYSC will purchase artificial limbs for Nuradeen, who lost both arms in the accident.

The DG speaking to newsmen after the hospital visit, thanked Mr. Ishaku, Taraba State governor for his support for the corps members.
