Mr. Ayogu Eze, the All Progressives Candidate for Enugu state governorship election in the March election has been sacked by the court.
Nigeria’s Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the country capital, on Tuesday passed a verdict that sacked Mr. Eze.
Mr. I Ekwo, the presiding judge of the court, in a verdict, directed the Nigeria electoral management body, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Mr. George Ogara as the authentic APC candidate for Enugu governorship election.
Ogara has since praised the verdict, saying it is a victory for democracy and the people.
“We thank God that justice has come at last. I urge our party members to remain united as we go for victory in the forthcoming election,” Ogara said.
