The Nigeria electoral management body, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given a certificate of return to Mr. Rochas Okorocha.
INEC in a statement on Tuesday said the issuance of the certificate is in compliance with court ruling directing the commission to issue certificate of return to Okorocha.
WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) had on Tuesday reported how Mr. Rochas Okorocha was denied accreditation to be inaugurated as a Senator together with his colleagues.
Okorocha was at the National Assembly for an inauguration, but was denied from being inaugurated.
The former governor contested and won a senatorial seat and had his certificate of return seized the Nigeria electoral management body, the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC)
INEC accused Okorocha of forcing official, the election returning officer to announce him winner of the election.
An action INEC based its reason for seizing his certificate of return.
Okorocha had gone to court challenging the seizureif his certificate by INEC.
The court has ruled, directing INEC to issue the former governor his certificate of return.
It is in the spirit of the court judgement that Okorocha went to the National Assembly to be inaugurated and was denied accreditation.
