Bandit attacks in Katsina state the hometown of Mr. Muhammadu Buhari has forced a federal university in the state to shutdown.
Mr. Armaya’u Bichi, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dustin-Ma, has since directed that the university is immediately closed as a result of attacks at communities close to the varsity main campus.
Mr. Aliyu Kankia, the university Registrar, while issuing the directive, said the decision arose from bandit attacks in communities close to the university.
However, the university authority has since directed all staff to stay off the campus until further notice, while instructing they work from home if need be.
This is even as Kankia, the varsity Registrar, and others on Thursday escaped been lynched by a group of residents protesting bandit attacks on Dutsin-ma – Kankara highway.
