Mr. Simon Achuba, the Kogi state Deputy Governor has said his boss, Mr. Yahaya Bello has no single project to show for three years.
The deputy governor made this known in an interview he granted to TheCable, an online newspaper.
Achuba said, what the governor has been doing since 2026, is to start a project, abandons it and move to another one.
Asked if there is no project that Bello started and completed, Achuba said, “there is no meaningful project that has been brought to 100 percent completion …that he started that has got to 100 percent completion” . No!
Achuba also added that the governor is owing many years of salaries that will be carried over by another governor that will take over from him.
He said, the governor is not interested in paying salaries and has created problem for his successor.
The deputy governor said the move by the state House of Assembly members to impeach him for exposing corruption under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state shows the lawmakers are not reasonable.
He said the constitution guarantees his freedom of speech and wondered why the state lawmakers are angry that he spoke out.
Achuba disclosed that Bello has not performed and does not deserve to come back as a Governor.
