Breaking: PDP supporters protest in Bayelsa, accuse INEC of accepting fake results

Supporters of the People Democratic Party (PDP) are protesting the acceptance of what they alleged are fake results accepted by INEC.

The supporters on Monday staged a protest to INEC Office in Yenagoa accusing the commission of accepting fake results from Nembe/Bassambiri, and part of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

The supporters trooped out in a large number on the streets in Yenagoa,  Bayelsa State capital,  to protest alleged election malpractices in the conduct of presidential and national elections.

Supporters mainly youth gathered at the Peace Park opposite the Government House before marching to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  office on Swale road.

However, they were stopped at the Imgbi roundabout leading to INEC office by security operatives comprising policemen and soldiers.

About four armoured vehicles were stationed at the Imgbi roundabout.

The protesters were seen carrying placards with messages that read, ballot snatching and election fraud.
