Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, a former Nigeria’s Minister of Education, has berated Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian president over what she calls incompetence leadership style in handling the Coronavirus.
The former minister has since asked the president to address the nation over the deadly coronavirus disease.
A demand the presidency has since rejected, with Mr. Femi Adesina, media aide to the president saying Buhari’s refusal to address the nation, is a matter of style.
The president had on Thursday, via his Twitter handle, disclosed measures he has put in place to address the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Responding to the president tweet, Ezekwesili said she was disappointed by the move, pointing out that, Buhari merely occupies office but not in power.
“Mr. Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, you are disrespecting citizens of this country with your opaque leadership at this time of national crisis. Your conduct earns you a permanent thumb down. You may be in office but not in power, Mr. President” Ezekwesili tweeted.
