Mr. Muhammadu Buhari has insisted that the Nigeria main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) must give account of how it spend the sum of $16billion when they managed the country affairs for 16 years.
Buhari made his position known when the organized Labour, visited him at the Aso-Rock villa on Thursday.
Mr. Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said the labour union was at the Villa to congratulate the president for his re-election.
Criticising the opposition party for wasting the nation resources, the president said, PDP is yet to explain to Nigerians what they did with the huge resources at their disposal.
The president accused PDP of claiming to have spent $16 billion on power, but posed the question, where is the power?
PDP must explain to Nigerians how they wasted their resources in an irresponsible manner, the president said.
Nigerians deserve an explanation from PDP on a terrible mismanagement of the country wealth, Buhari insisted.
Appreciating the Labour Congress, Buhari appealed to the workers to work with his administration to take Nigeria to next step.
Mr. Ayuba Wabba, NLC President, thanked the president for given bailout funds to state to pay workers salaries.
Wada used the opportunity to appealed to National Assembly to pass the National Minimum Wage Act, and also appealed to the president to sign it into law the moment it is sent to him.
