Buhari will drop more million Nigerians into poverty – Oby Ezekwesili

Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, Nigeria former minister of education has said Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigeria president will put millions of Nigerians into poverty rather than lift them out of poverty

In a tweet,   the former minister reminded the president of his promise to lift  100 million Nigerians out of Poverty.

She also said the president copied her manifesto during his campaign.

“Did he not say he wants to Lift 100 million Nigerians out of Poverty?

“Did MBuhari not recently copy my manifesto by saying he will Lift millions of Nigerians out of Poverty” she tweeted.

“Well, take my advice. You will only DROP more millions of Nigerians into Poverty with #MilkBanPolicy” she added.

The former minister was reacting to government policy banning the importation of milk into Nigeria.

“The worst kind of policies announce themselves. A country that has no enforcement capacity, nor limitless resources to coax an ideal response goes ahead to foolishly design a “Ban this-Ban-That” or a “Sermon-on-the-Mountain” Policy” oby said.

She pointed out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Buhari led government has  set itself up for grand failure by its milk importation ban.

She had also accused the government of using the Central Bank of Nigerian (CBN) in a disguise for policy implementation, to make Nigerians go through predicament for rejecting Ruga settlement scheme that was designed for herdsmen in the country.
