Constituency project: kids learn on floor as N150  million kebbi school renovation project abandoned

Pupils in Mega Model Primary School Danko of Kebbi State continue to learn sitting on the ground as a result of dilapidated nature of the school.

This is even as  Mr. Bala Ibn Naallah, a Senator from the constituency had in 2018, through Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) nominated the sum of N150 million for the renovation of the school and construction of toilet.

Tracka officials who spoke to WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) via telephone said their visit to the school revealed that despite the funds release, nothing has been done and the kids were seen sitting on the ground inside classrooms.

The money has since been released through Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Worse still, SGF got the highest allocation of N12 billion for constituency projects.

This is even as there is no project on ground justifying the huge sum received by the SGF.

WAR could not immediately reach Mr. Balla for an explanation.
