Despite N31 billion Nasarawa State capital allocation, school children learn in a terrible environment

Children of Bauna at Ashige community in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasawa state have continued to learn under a terrible dilapidated condition despite the sum of N31 billion capital allocation.

Mr. Tanko Almakura, the former state Governor while presenting the budget, said the sum of N31 billion will be allocated to capital expenditure.

An allocation that has been signed into law by the state assembly.

Worse still over 70 pupils in the Bauna Local Government Education Authority – LGEA sit and lern on a bare floor.

And the allocation is yet to reflect in the lives of poor children using the government public school.

Akolo Eggon, a community resident, said apart from the terrible dilapidated condition of the school, it has only two classrooms block for over 70 pupils.
