Despite N96. 2 billion, Niger state Primary Healthcare Remains Abandoned

Primary healthcare centre in Niger state has remained in worse dilapidated condition despite the sum of N96, 205,435,383.00 that was allocated to capital expenditure.

The allocated sum represents  60.31% of the annual budget.

Worse still, Primary Healthcare located at Guwa Babaginda Community in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State has since been abandoned.

This is even as the state while presenting the 2019 budget, said the allocated capital expenditure was to complete all projects and start new ones.

“The 2019 budget estimate which is tagged Budget of Sustenance and Continuity will focus mainly on the completion of all ongoing projects that have direct bearing on the lives of citizens in addition to some critical new ones” the governor said.

Mr. Abubakar Bello, the Niger state Governor while presenting the sum of  N159,529,728,377.00 as the 2019  annual budget to the state House of Assembly, said the state will utilize the funds to improve welfare and living condition of the citizens.

A promise that is test to be fulfilled.

Tracka who exposed the terrible dilapidated nature of the abandoned primary healthcare, has since appealed to the state Governor to help fix it to improve citizens access to healthcare.
