Road leading to Dutse Alhaji General Hospital, a community at Bwari Area Council of Abuja, the Nigeria capital is in a terrible dilapidated condition despite the sum of N2.4 billion capital allocation.
Mr. Musa Dikko, the Bwari Area Council chairman had in 2018 presented N4.7 billion budget to the council Assembly.
Breaking down the figure, Dikko said,
N2.4 billion is capital allocation which will be used mainly for road and housing.
A budget that was since signed into appropriation law since last year.
However, the condition of Dutse General Hospital road does not not show N2. 4 billion was allocated for infrastructure in the Area Council.
Mr. David Yohana, a community resident who spoke to WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) in front of the hospital said, there are no roads in the whole of Dutse community.
” this is not the only bad road in Dutse, there are no roads in Dutse” he said.
A staff of the hospital who spoke to WAR, said it is unfortunate that the road is right inside a hospital that is supposed to be very hygienic.
Mr. Ibrahim, who is a commercial motorcycle operator told our reporter that roads in Dutse are so terrible that their motorcycles are wearing off as a result to the bad road network.
He has since appealed to the Bwari Area Council to help fix the road.
WAR could not immediately reach out to Bwari Area Council for a response.
