Mr. Sunday Ogar has been arrested by the Gombe state Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Zonal Command for an alleged diversion of mosquito nets.
Ogar is accused of diverting 15 bags of mosquito nets each containing 50 pieces.
He was arrested with the help of intelligence report received, the anti-graft agency said.
The mosquito nets were given to be distributed to the state primary health care centers across Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State.
The National Malaria Control Unit Gombe gave Ogar the mosquito nets to distribute, however, rather than distribute them, he diverted and sold them for profit making.
The anti graft agency said its investigation reveals that the nets were meant to be distributed to the general public without any cost under the Nigeria Government rollback malaria programme.
