Exposed: Rimi school in Kano where students sit on the floor

Students of Government Girls Junior Secondary School, Rimi, located in Kano municipal learn in the school sitting on a floor.

Mr. Ilevbaoje Uadamen, Head, Tracka – BudgIT Foundation, told WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) that their team who was in Kano to track and inspect government projects uncovered how students in the school sit and learn on the floor.

The organisation has since appealed to Mr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the Kano state governor to help fix the school in order to enable the students learn in a conducive environment.

Worse still, Mr. Abdullahi Ganduje, bagged the 2018 best Governor award.

The Telegraph newspaper who gave the award say Ganduje has performed extremely well in Education and health sector.

At the event, Funke Egbemode, Telegraph Managing Director said, Ganduje is making a huge impact in people lives, which is why the award is important.

Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje in a press statement over the award described Ganduje as a consummate politician and administrator per excellence.

In the acceptance speech, Ganduje said, they believe in transforming Kano huge population to an asset not liability is the reason behind his achievements.
