Five Nigerians who specialist in robbery in Ghana have been arrested by the country police after they were alleged to have raped a woman in presence of her husband during robbery operation.
They were arrested at Community 25 in Tema area of Ghana by the Prampram Divisional Police Command.
The police have trailed the suspects for a long period of time because they have been on their wanted list.
The Nigerian gang mode of operation is to attack mobile money vendors, mostly women in their residents with weapons and thereafter rape them.

Crime Officer of the Prampram Divisional Police Command, who confirmed the incident, say four of the suspects had last month launched an attack on a family at their residence at about 3:00 am.
The police official said the suspects had attacked the couple in their resident, and when they could not provide the money they demanded from them, raped the wife in presence of the husband and recorded the incident with their cell phone.
The rape survivor identified one of the suspects on the street, pointed him out to the husband who raised alarm that made youth in the area arrested him and handed over to the police, Cicilia disclosed.
She said that during intrrogation, the suspect admiteed committing the offence and led the police to their hide out where they arrested other gang members, together with their leader who was alleged to have brought them from Nigeria.
The police official said their leader from Nigeria told his gang when bringing them to Ghana that criminal activities such as robbery and internet fraud is so profitable in Ghana.
