I purchased cows with my N5 million share – arrested Kidnap suspect confesses

Mr. Abdulmimini Adamu and Usman Abdulahi have been arrested by the Nigeria Police for alleged  kidnapping of two Americans and two Canadians and killing their escort a police officer.

The suspects engaged the police with a  heavy exchange of fire at their hideout in Kuire forest, near Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna state before they were arrested.

Adamu and Abdullahi, who escaped  during the gun cross fire were traced and and arrested at different locations in Kano and Kaduna states.

Admitting committing the crime, Mr. Adamu, a herder and farmer, said they demanded N100 million from their victims.

He expalained although, he does not know the exact amount of money that was paid to their gang leader, he got a share of N5 million.

He confessed his first operation as a kidnapper was carried out at Jere road of Southern Kaduna where they killed two police officers and took away their guns.

Adamu disclosed the he used  his own share of N5 million to purchase cows and gave to his brother at the village.

He said they lunched an attack on the vehicle carrying the foreigners by firing guns at them until they were forced to stop by the gun fire.

He disclosed they had an informant who discloses information to them.

Adamu said they abducted the victims, took them to their camp at Kuire where they kept them for three days.

We fed them with rice and beans for three days, we took care of them because they are whites, Adamu said.

One that understands English language among the gang negotiated the ransom while I invested my N5 million share in the purchase of cows and kept in the village, Adamu said.
