Insecurity in Nigeria continues to worsen as armed men on Thursday invaded a school in Kaduna kidnapping teachers and students.
The armed men who invaded Engraver’s College in Kakau Daji in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state kidnapped six female students and two teachers.
One of the parents whose daughter was kidnapped told TheCable that the kidnappers called him on Thursday morning and informed him about the kidnap.
The parent said the kidnappers collected his number from the daughter and called him.
He disclosed that he spoke with the daughter on a telephone before the kidnappers got angry and terminated the call without asking for any ransom.
Mr. Yakubu Sabo, the state police command spokesperson confirming the incident, say the kidnappers gained entrance through a fence.
He narrated how the kidnappers went to female hostel and abducted female students.
He further confirmed that two teachers residing inside the school were also kidnapped and nobody knows where they were taken to.
The police spokesperson has since advised all schools to ensure they put adequate security in place.
