IPMAN, Others Buy Governorship Form For El-Rufai

A group has purchased a form for Mr. Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna State to contest the 2019 governorship under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Accepting the form, Nasir, said he would have found it very difficult to purchase the form saying he has no money to buy the form.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), Traders of Sheikh Mahmud Gummi Market and The Katsina and Daura People’s Association living in Kaduna purchased the form.

Accepting the form in Kaduna state government house today, Nasir said that was the greatest gift he ever got in his life.

I have been discussing with other governors on how to raise the fund to purchase the form since the form is out of my reach.

I cannot afford N20 million form, all my savings in my bank account cannot afford the form, Nasir said.

I operate only one bank account and the only option I have is to sell my house and buy the form, he told his guests at the government house.

I am accepting this form in a good faith and that will spur me to do more for the state, he added.

My commitment is to see that all infrastructural deficit in Kaduna is addressed.

We have seen a trend of groups coming together to purchase form for aspirants, first, it was Buhari, and today Nasir and Ganduje, Kano state governor received nomination forms from groups.
