Mr. Nwankwo Kanu, former Nigerian Super Eagles striker has begged Odion Ighalo, a Manchester United striker to return to the National Team.
Ighalo resigned from the Nigerian national team after the country won a bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The footballer made a move from China to England Premiership and signed a six-month loan deal with Manchester United on the 30th day of January this year.
Kanu has since appealed to the footballer to reverse his decision to leave Super Eagles and be included in Mr. Gernot Rohr, the National Team Coach players.
“Nigeria needs every good player no matter where he is playing or his age, Kanu said.
“If he performs in Manchester United, we will ask him to come back and tell him to forget what he said, the former Super Eagles striker added.
“This is football and we have to watch and see how the situation would unfold. Not just Ighalo, Nigeria needs whoever is in form,”
