Mr. Yakubu Lado, the People Democratic Party governorship candidate for the Katsina state 2019 election has told the election petition tribunal that Mr. Aminu Masari the All Progressives Congress candidate, who was declared winner of the election has no West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) certificate.
Masari has no qualification but parades “To Whom It May Concern” document in a place of secondary school certificate, the PDP candidate alleges.
The PDP candidate say that the Governor shares the same age mate with his father.
Mr. Gordy Uche lawyer to the PDP candidate while addressing journalist at the court premises say available testaments show Masari has no qualification to be a Governor.
“The first respondent claims his name is now Aminu Bello Masari, the qualification and all the certificates none of them bears the name Aminu Bello Masari. Those certificates in question bear the name Aminu Bello. So there is no basis why he is still there, that is what we are telling the tribunal,” Mr Uche said.
The lawyer say that what Masari parades as a secondary education certificate is To Whom It May Concern which is not a certificate”.
Documents tendered together with nomination form to the Independent National Electoral Commission, shows Masari is 69 years while his father is 69 as well.
