Kidnappers have killed Mrs. Ataga, threw her dead body and asked her husband, to go pick it for failing to meet N150 million ransoms placed on the woman.
A community source said the kidnappers called the deceased husband on a telephone and asked him to go pick his wife dead on a location they dumped it.
The woman who is a wife of Mr. Philip Ataga, a medical doctor in Kaduna was kidnapped and kept in captivity for days before she was killed by her abductors.
Ataga was killed after her family could not raise the sum of N150 million ransom for her release and two of her children kidnapped along with her.
The woman was kidnapped from her house at Juji in Sabon Tasha, Chikun local government area of Kaduna on the 24th day of January.
Her kidnapping led to the killing of a security guard, forcing residents into a protest with youth blocking Kachia road, to demand government intervention in addressing predominant attacks on their community.
A community source says her dead body has been picked and deposited at the Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital, Kaduna.
Her killers are still holding two of her children and placed N20 million ransom on them before they can be released.
The Kaduna state police command spokesperson Mr. Yakubu Sabo, denied knowledge of the killing when he was contacted for police response.
