Kogi civil servants beating at Ganaja First Bank by APC thugs for criticizing gov Bello

Some thugs suspected to be members of All progressives Congress (APC) on Friday afternoon lynched some civil servants at First Bank branch of Ganaja junction, the Kogi state capital.

A senior security official who did not want his name mentioned, told WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) via a telephone conversation that thugs invaded the First Bank premises and beat up civil servants who were castigating Mr. Yahaya Bello, the state Governor.

The civil servants were in the bank to withdraw salary paid to them by the governor.

In the bank, the civil servants were heard criticising Mr. Bello. Some persons in the bank who heard them, reported their conversation to some thugs who rode on motorcycles, dressed in a resemblance of commercial motorcycle riders and attacked them inside the court premises.

The civil servants were thoroughly beaten by the thugs, while others who were lucky escaped been lynched.

A senior police official who said he is not authorized to speak on the matter, told WAR that the thugs were arrested and are currently in the police custody.

He said, the thugs will be investigated and punished according for breaching the law.
