Kogi Election: Buhari endorses Bello, ask Kogites to vote him

Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian President has endorsed Mr. Yahaya Bello, the Kogi state Governor for a second term.

Bello together with Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) visited Buhari at the presidential Vila on Friday to seek support for Bello.

At the meeting, Buhari endorsed Bello and asked Kogi people to ensure they return him as a governor in the November 16 governorship election.

Worse still, Bello has been notorious for not paying salaries with some civil servants in the state been owed 30 months salaries while some are been paid half salaries.

Oshiomhole had on Thursday at the APC Secretariat in a meeting with Kogi state governorship tickets aspirants and the National Working Committee of the party, called to reconcile the aggrieved party members, said Bello has done very well in the last three years.

He praised Bello for paying salaries and completing projects abandoned by the previous administration.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) is a major contender with APC in the November 16 election.

While PDP has presented Mr. Wada Musa  as their candidate for the election, APC has since presented Bello, the incumbent Governor to be voted for a second term in office.
