Mr. Muhammadu Buhari has asked the National Assembly members not to put pressure on him to release names of minsters saying he is taking his time to appoint those he knows very well.
This president was reacting to the call from the Lawmakers and other Nigerians for him to appoint ministers.
Buhari disclosed this while addressing the leadership of the National Assembly on Thursday at a dinner night in Abuja, the Nigeria capital city.
Buhari pointed out that he is under pressure to unveil his ministerial nominees.
“I am very much aware about it and I am under tremendous pressure on it,” he said.
The president told the leadership of the National Assembly that the previous cabinet he had, most of them he didn’t know them.
“I had to accept their names and recommendation from the party. I worked with them for three and a half years.”
Buhari told them he is working to ensure he nominates people he knows personally and can work with.
Saying that is the main reason the ministerial nominee list is been delayed.
