Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigeria president has assured that he will work to make sure Libya becomes politically stabilized, Daily Trust Newspaper is reporting.
“We will do our best to help Libya stabilise,” this Buhari told Head of Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, at a bilateral meeting on the margins of the AU Summit in Niamey, Niger Republic, on Sunday.
Buhari discussing challenges in North Africa, said more than 6,000 Nigerians are in Libya trying to cross to Europe.
Buhari pointed out that the political instability in Libya poses a serious challenge in the Sahel and must be addressed.
The Libya head of delegation told Buhari, his country has recorded lots of deaths as a result of crisis, saying he is ready to work with any country that will be of assistance.
“The aggression must stop. The solution is not military alone we also believe in diplomacy.
