N250 million Yobe lawmaker  constituency project abandoned

A N250 million Yobe state lawmaker constituency project has been abandoned.

Mr. Mohammed Hassan, a former lawmaker who represented the people of Yobe South at the federal house of representatives nominated the the project in 2017.

Under the deal, Hassan, said he will construct knowledge centre in Potiskum area of Yobe state.

Good as this sounds, the project has since been abandoned and the site deserted.

Udeme who exposed the state of the project say the project has been abandoned.

Worse still, money has been released and the  work has since been left undone.

Hassan is not the only offender, Nigeria lawmakers who hide under the cover of Ministry Department and Agencies (MDAs) to nominate constituency project, often abandoned them and do not ensure they are executed.

In cases where they are executed, the prices are often inflated while some are done with substandard materials and quack personnel.
