Mr. Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa state Governor, on Wednesday, inaugurated Officials of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN).
The inauguration which took place at the Ta’al conference hall, Jos road Lafia had in attendance dignitaries and youth from different states of the federation.
Addressing the newly elected officials, the Governor who was represented by his deputy Emmanuel Akabe noted that youth are the pillar of every society and are thereby expected to live an exemplary life.
The Governor added that he believes the youth are both leaders of today and tomorrow and charged them not to throw away the opportunity given them.
Mr. Sule added that the safety of the country is also in the hands of the youth hence the need to adhere to the COVID 19 safety measures.
Also speaking, the chairman of the occasion who is the National Patron of YAN Mr. Uche Nwosu noted that any man that cannot lead his family and community cannot be a good leader saying a leader is fearless.
The outgoing Speaker of YAN, Mr. Samuel Godstime, and the Youth advocate Mr. Innocent Lagi described the youth of Nigeria as hardworking and urged them to keep up with the good work in ensuring the success of the nation.
Expressing his gratitude, the National speaker of YAN, Mr. Shuaibu Sani, thanked both the state and Federal government and the youth for allowing him to lead promising to always protect the right and interest of the youth.
