Nigeria Ranks 5th in global worse performing economy—World Bank

The World Bank today ranked Nigeria 152 out of 157 countries worse performing economy.

In a Human Capital Index released today by the global apex Bank, at the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Bali, Jim Yong Kim, the World Bank president, said Nigeria economy has performed woefully.

The president said, it is unfortunate that Nigeria ranks 152 out of 157 countries with very poor performing economy.

The World Bank president said, Many African countries are in the red zone, that shows the poor economy of Africa, we take some responsibility for not helping them to develop, he added.

He advised African leaders to take responsibility for putting more monies in health and education.

He berated the continent for waiting for the west for a grant for health and education.
