Nine kidnappers terrorising Abuja-Kaduna road arrested

The Nigeria police say her men in the operation Puff Adder have arrested nine kidnappers abducting motorists  along Abuja-Kaduna road.

The police say they made the arrest on Saturday.

Two AK47 rifles, four AK47 magazines, 54 rounds of live ammunition, five locally made guns and 200 stolen cows were recovered from them, the police said.

The officers say the suspects were arrested at Kudaru Forest in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The arrest were made  following information provided to the police and community support.

The arrested suspects are: Ayuba lawal, Saidu Bello, Abdullahi Bello, Adamu Lawal, and Umar Sani, all males and indigenes of Dan Musa LGA of Katsina State.

Other suspects, Muhammed Sani, Jibrin Shehu, Usman Sani, Musa Garba, all males, were similarly arrested at Akilbu forest around Chikwale in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.

Mr. Frank Mba, the police spokesman, in a press statement made this known.
