Mr. Nnamdi Kanu has hailed IPOB members over Ike Ekweremadu attack, describing it as excellent and courageous.
The self acclaimed leader of IPOB, through his official twitter handle, @mazinnamdikanu on Sunday, said the attack on the former Deputy Senate president by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a warning to those engaged in selling Ibo collective interest to Fulani caliphate.
He said Mr. Nwodo, the President of Ohaneze Igbo and southeast governors should take the attack as a warning to them.
He has since appealed to the public to join him via Radio Biafra FM, App, satellite and online on Sunday at
7 pm Biafraland Time.
Justifying why they attacked Ekweremadu, IPOB say, the former deputy senate president cannot conspire with Nigeria government to allow Fulani rape their daughter and come to Germany to celebrate.
In a video shared by Radio Biafra, IPOB members say, they do not welcome the idea of Ekweremadu coming to Germany to celebrate New Yam festival while Ibos are been killed, raped and attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
”They are killing your people and you are here celebrating yam festival. They are killing your people, raping your women, Fulani, and you are here you want to celebrate Yam. God will punish all of you” one of the aggrieved IPOB members said.
Ekweremadu on Saturday confirmed IPOB attacked him in Nuremberg, Germany, on Saturday.
Mr. Uche Anichukwu, his media assistant, in a statement released in Abuja, the Nigeria capital on Saturday, said he was physically attacked by the IPOB members.
The video of the attack on the former deputy Senate president went viral on Saturday.
The video, showed how the group attacked Ekweremadu for allegedly conspiring with the Nigerian government to proscribe IPOB in the South East and killing several of its followers.
The former senator condemned the attack on his person and said he has reported the development to the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar.
