Northern Elders Forum, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Nigerian Delta forum, middle belt forum throw support behind Atiku

Mr.  Atiku Abubakar, the People Democratic Party candidate for February presidential election push to becoming Nigeria President appears to be gaining support of some prominent groups in Nigeria.

This is as leaders of the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Northern Elders Forum, Pan-Niger Delta forum, the Middle Belt Forum, and a faction of Afenifere have endorsed him as their presidential candidate for February presidential election.

Leaders of groups addressing pressmen after the Nigerian and Elders Summit, said they have endorsed Atiku as their presidential candidate.

The group said they decided not to support Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress candidate because of his inability to unite  Nigeria and his lost of control in power.

The group said, Atiku has a better plan for the country than Buhari.

Mr. Pogu Bitrus (Middle Belt Forum), Ago Abdullahi (Northern Elders Forum), Ayo Fasanmi (Afenifere), Edwin Clarke (Pan Niger Delta Forum) John Nwodo (Ohanaeze Ndigbo), were those who attended the summit.

Mr Buba Galadima, a former chieftain of APC, and now ardent critique of Buhari was also part of the meeting.
