Two National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving at Swali primary school of Bayelsa state have been killed by armed men right in the place of their primary assignment.

A witness and a community resident say two of the corps members were shot on Wednesday night.

They were rushed to Federal Medical Center (FMC), Yenagoa, one was confirmed dead on arrival while the second died during treatment.

A Nigerian policeman who confirmed the incident to TheCable an online newspaper said they were both shot at Swali primary school.

Another community resident who identified herself as Miss. Priye, and says she schools at University of Port Harcourt, told WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) via a telephone conversation that a primary school pupil was also shot by the armed men.

It was not exactly clear why armed men killed two corps members.
