However, Ms Sunday noted a few difficulties involved in organizing the maiden event in 2020 and attributed those to ‘fear and lack of trust’ for something new. She said, “it wasn’t an easy task putting up a huge event in the state, being the maiden edition made it more difficult getting sponsors and convincing the aspirants on the reason why they should contest for the Face of Nigeria Kogi State 2020…during the process we lost a few aspirants to lack of trust and fear.”

With this partnership in place and other future partnerships, the public is more confident taking part in FONKS 2021 both as contestants, spectators, and sponsors. As of press time, about 15 intending contestants have opted to take part in the pageant.

The date for FONKS 2021 will be announced in due course, according to the organizers.
