PDP rigged, bought votes in Kano Guber polls, I will surprise them—Ganduje says

Mr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano state All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate has accused the main opposition party, the people Democratic Party (PDP) of buying votes and intimidating voters during the Saturday state governorship and the house of assembly elections.

Mr. Abba Yusuf, PDP candidate in the election polled 1,014,353 votes and is currently leading the incumbent governor Mr. Ganduje who got 953,522 votes, leaving a margin of 26,655 votes.

However, Mr. Bello Shehu, the Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer for the election, has since declared the Kano Poll inconclusive, relying on the cancellation of over 100,000 votes in the 172 polling units as a justification for his action.

The PDP will receive the “shock of its live” in the supplementary poll, Ganduje assured.

This is even as Mr. Yusuf, the PDP candidate has assured his supporters of winning the Kano governorship election.

Mr. Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, spokesman to the PDP candidate in a statement accused APC of trying to scuttle the process having known they have been rejected by the people.
