Rivers elections violence: APC praises military, says INEC working with Wike to manipulate results

The  ruling All Progressives Congress has praised the military on the role they played in the cancelled Rivers elections, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission of working with Mr. Nelson Wike, the Rivers state governor to manipulate results of the Saturday’s elections.

This is even as the Peoples Democratic Party, has accused the military of unleashing violence during the Rivers election.

The military has since denied their men involvement in Rivers elections, saying those seen wearing military uniform during the elections were fake military men.

INEC had on Sunday suspended Rivers election amidst allegation of insecurity and other malpractices.

Mr. Chris Finebone, Rivers State
APC Publicity Secretary in a statement in Port Harcourt on Tuesday said the military deserves commendation  for providing a peaceful atmosphere for Rivers people to cast their votes on Saturday.
