Rotimi Amaechi fainted, hospitalized when Buhari picked Osibanjo running mate, Magnus Abe reveals

Mr. Magnus Abe, a Nigerian Senator from Rivers state, has revealed that Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, the Nigeria minister of transport fainted and was hospitalized when Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, his country president chose Mr. Yemi Osinbanjo as his running mate during the 2014 presidential election.

Abe disclosed this when reacting to a statement credited to Mr. Dakuku Peterside saying he became sick when Peter became the Rivers state All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in 2015.

Abe debunking Mr. Peter claim said it was Amaechi who had such experience when Buhari dumped him and picked Osibbajo as his running mate.

Abe said Amaechi was nobody until Peter Odili, a former Rivers governor brought him to politics, where he served as his aide.

Abe reminded Amaechi how a Doctor revised him from death when he fainted because Buhari chose Yemi Osinbajo as his running mate.

Amaechi went into shock and a Doctor had to bring him back to life when Yemi Osinbajo was announced as Buhari running mate, Abe said.

Amaech was placed on a drip all night to stabilize him when he heard Osinbajo is the Vice-President, and that was why he assumed that I would faint alike he did.

I have known Amaechi right from the Rivers state House of Assembly where we both served as state legislators.
