Travellers using Wukari Jalingo road in Taraba state are now to say countless prayers as the road has become a death trap with many accidents occuring on the road.
Mr. Albdulhameed Usman, a resident of Jalingo, the Taraba state capital narrated how travellers who use the road are facing threat to death as a result of the bad road.
James Malacky, who supplies drugs from Wukari to Jalingo said the portion of the road is terribly in a bad shape.
He said many accidents have been recorded on the, most of the victim are truck drivers who have fallen on different occasions as a result of bad road, he added.
He told WEST AFRICA REPORTERS (WAR) that construction work on the road started since 2013 and is yet to be completed, and wondered why it is taking so long to be completed.
WAR could not independent verify the company the road was awarded and how much is the cost.
Taraba state located at the Northeast Nigeria has numerous bad roads making access to many parts of the country inaccessible.
Ibi is one of the local governments in the state that has no road, travelling from the local government to Plateau state, one has to cross a bridge using a canoe as there is no road linking the local government.
