University of Nigeria First Class student commits suicide

Mr. Chukwuemeka Akachi, a first-class student from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has on Sunday committed suicide.

He was a final year student in the department of English and Literary studies.

He took his life as a result of anger because he had suffered a mental disorder for a long time.

Besides the mental illness, Akachi said he is on life support and that is becoming very difficult to cope with.

A disclosure he made on his last Facebook page.

Before he committed suicide, he appreciated those who supported him and showed him, love.

He wrote, “With due respect, I really appreciate all the family and Friends that have been there to support me during his hard times.

“Thanks to all those who call, text, visit, speak to me. May we always remember, may we never forget?

“You may have added a few hours, months or days to my time here. But you know life support is expensive right”, Mr. Akachi wrote on his page a few hours before committing suicide.
