We Killed 40 soldiers, took away five vehicles, weapons in Damboa attack – B/Haram boast

The Boko Haram insurgents in a statement released on Thursday boasted they killed 40 Nigerian soldiers, took away five vehicles and weapons in an ambush along Damboa/Maiduguri Highway, in Damboa town.

The Boko Haram insurgents say the attack took place in Bulabulin.

Worse still the Nigerian military had on Wednesday confirmed the attack but said only two soldiers were killed.

Mr. John Enenche, Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, said the troops in conjunction with elements of sector 2 Special Forces overran the insurgents’ ambush team.
