Wike storms Nunieh former NDDC boss residence chases armed policemen away

Mr. Wike, the Rivers State Governor on Thursday stormed Joi Nunieh former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) boss Port Harcourt residence and rescued her from armed policemen.

In a video that has gone viral, Wike was heard saying “what kind of society are we, why can’t you invite her to the police, a lady for that matter”

Although the police officer was heard saying she was invited she refused to honour their invitation, Wike ordered them to get out of Nunieh residence.

Nunieh was seeing speaking through her window, saying excellency, ask them for an arrest warrant.

Earlier, WAR reported how Joi Nunieh former Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) boss Port Harcourt residence was on Thursday besieged by armed policemen.

Nunieh said the armed policemen stormed her residence at about 4:00 am. The NDDC boss while speaking to Arise Television on Thursday said she has been inside her bedroom since morning while the policemen have been trying to break through her residence.

Nunieh accused Mr. Godwill Akpabio, the minister of Niger Delta Affairs of mobilizing the police to get her arrested because she has exposed him.

She added that the policemen pushed her gate opened.

Nunieh, however, said Akpabio masterminded the police besieging her house to stop her from appearing before the National Assembly committee investigating the NDDC.

Nunieh said the policemen are over 50 that surrounded her house.

An action that angered Wike making him storm Nunieh residence and chase policemen away.
