It was a great joy at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Lokoja as a woman put to bed five babies (quintuplets) after 18 years of bareness.
A journalist from News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who covered the news on Friday say Mrs. Uchenna Okeigbo and her kids are well and healthy.
The woman who is from Olokoro Amangbo Community in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia, gave birth to three boys and two girls on the 17 day of this month through a Caesarean Section.
The husband Mr. James Okeigbo, who was full of joy say the coming of the babies is the best thing that has happened in his entire life.
He has however appealed to the government and Nigerians to give assistance so that the babies can be properly taking care of.
Grace Ogoke, a medical doctor at the hospital who handled the delivery said she is happy over the success recorded.
Olatunde Alabi, the hospital chief medical director who confirmed the delivery said experienced professionals were assigned to handle the delivery.
He said that was the first time such delivery is taken place in the hospital, and has joined the father of the babies to ask kogi state government and Nigerians to give the family support.
