A trafficker who specializes in kidnapping and selling babies has been arrested by the Niger state Police command.
Ms. Bose Isaac was arrested for kidnapping and selling a baby for the sum of N300,000.
The suspect was said to be behind a missing child, the son of Mr. Gambo Shua’ibu a resident of Cikin-Gari community that was last seen on August 24.
Mr. Muhammad Abubakar, the Niger state police command spokesperson while confirming the incident, said Bose was arrested by officers attached to Kagara Division.
He added that Bose has confessed to having committed the crime; and narrated how she kidnapped the boy and sold her to a woman in Ogun State for the sum of N300, 000.
Bose who pleaded for mercy said she carried out the act to solve family challenges, disclosed that the buyer has not paid her.
Bose said she kidnapped the boy and sold him to a woman who desperately needed a baby, Punch Newspaper reports.
She said poverty and devil pushed her to sell another woman’s baby.
The officer has since disclosed that his men are trailing the buyer to get her arrested while promising to charge the suspect to court as soon as possible.
However, Bose is alleged to be specialized in kidnapping and selling babies.
