Yari, Zamfara Gov visits military attack survivors in hospital

Mr.  Abdul’aziz Yari, the Zamfara state governor was at the Federal Medical Center, Gusau, the capital of Zamfara to see men of the Nigerian
military who were injured during Saturday  attack in Dumburum
forest.

Mr.  Sanusi Rikiji, the Zamfara State House of Assembly speaker and some top security  men were in the company of the governor  during the visit.

Mr.  Ibrahim Dosara, the spokesman to Yari disclosed this in a statement.

Dosara, said the state governor on Sunday went to the hospital  to see and sympathise with the military officer and seven soldiers that were injured in the bandits attack at the Dumburum Forest in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara state.

Yari  during the visit at the hospital  assured the military  of his administration  determination  to assist  the military  to fight the bandits  attacks.

Bandits opened fire on the military  at  the Dumburum forest when the soldiers  went into the area in search of bandits who have carried out series of attacks in communities in Zamafara state killing and displacing  many.

A top military  source  said the bandits  bombed the military.

This is even as bandits were reported  to have killed more than 300 persons in Zamafara  state.
